Peri-implantitis is a form of gum disease that affects the hard and soft tissues surrounding a dental implant. Characterized by inflammation, gum recession, and bone loss, peri-implantitis can result in dental implant failure as well as damage to the supporting structures of the adjacent teeth.
LAPIP, or Laser Assisted Peri-Implantitis Procedure, is a technologically advanced laser solution designed to eliminate the diseased and inflamed tissues associated with peri-implantitis, while leaving the surrounding healthy tissues unharmed and helping the supporting structures to regenerate. LAPIP utilizes the Periolase® MVP-7TM laser, which is the same laser used in LANAP treatments for periodontally involved natural teeth.
